About the role:

This role will assist in the administration, communication and systems support of various employee benefits plans.

About the team:

This role at FIS is part of a high-functioning Total Rewards team that includes Benefits, Recognition, Compensation, Equity, Well-being and Performance Management. The Total Rewards team partners with business leaders and The People Office to provide best-in-class programs that are critical to offering a competitive benefits package for our colleagues.

What you will be doing:

  • Processes Workday HRIS integrations to multiple benefit vendors, managing discrepancies and error resolution.
  • Responsible for benefit payroll deduction file processing.
  • Processes benefit funding files with spending account vendors.
  • Verifies benefit dependent eligibility and qualified life events as needed.
  • Answers email inquiries/tickets from employees regarding benefit verification forms.
  • Assists employees with data issues related to benefit payroll deductions in partnership with benefit administrator for resolution.
  • Works with vendor contacts to investigate data discrepancies and provide information in ad-hoc situations.
  • Processes benefit invoices for multiple carriers and back-up reporting to FIS accounting partners.
  • Assists with ad hoc reporting requests out of Workday HRIS and Benefit vendor systems.

What you will need:

  • Typically three or more year's benefits/data files experience.
  • Knowledge of the use of office equipment required by the position, e.g., personal computer, fax machine, 10-key adding machine
  • Knowledge of general office procedures
  • Skill in appropriate telephone and email etiquette
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret complex instructions, policies, procedures and correspondence
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of information, both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain a professional and courteous image
  • Ability to compile and report business information
  • Ability to accurately and efficiently type, format and produce reports, charts, graphs, and other general correspondence using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint software packages
  • Ability to sequence and monitor multiple activities for self
  • Attention to detail with reporting from multiple systems
  • Ability to apply analytical and decision-making capabilities to apply benefit files
  • Ability to prioritize work, handle details accurately and follow up with minimum supervision
  • Ability to meet deadlines, to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, vendors and HR partners
