The University of Pittsburgh's Department of Pathology is seeking a candidate for the position of Visiting Scholar. The successful candidate will participate in seminars, professional development opportunities, manuscript preparation and publication, and presentations at scientific meetings. To ensure the candidate's successful advancement, feedback and performance evaluations will be provided to assist with progress. The candidate will perform services within the Department of Pathology, studying various issues related to their area of expertise. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for other assignments related to scientific development, such as writing manuscripts, reviews, and supervising/teaching other fellows JOB DUTIES: In the Department of Pathology, the candidate's job responsibilities involve participation in seminars, professional development opportunities, data analysis, manuscript preparation and publication, and presentations at scientific meetings. To ensure the successful advancement of the candidate, the Principal Investigator (PI) will provide feedback and performance evaluations to assist with their progress. The candidate will perform services within the Department of Pathology under the direction of Mo Ebrahimkhani, MD, studying various issues related to tissue development, developmental biology, and the generation of artificial tissues. Through this process, the candidate will contribute to experiments and projects aimed at developing human tissues in the lab using cell and molecular biology methods. They will work with both mice and stem cells. Qualifications:
