Position: Contract Administrator, Senior - LAWA

Function: Contract Specialist

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Remote Work Option: NO - on-site in office (located in Irvine, CA) and/or LAX

Salary Range: $100- $130k

Security Requirements

Must be a US citizen or a legal resident for three of the past five years. Public Trust cannot be granted without meeting the residency requirement.

Must meet eligibility requirements for a US Public Trust security clearance (moderate risk), including a soft credit check and criminal background check. Please refer to the criteria listed in
5 CFR 731.202 to understand the Public Trust suitability requirements.

Job Summary

This position shall be responsible for working in collaboration with the project management team to ensure projects are delivered in compliance with all contractual terms and conditions and LAWA, City State and Federal requirements. These projects may include, but are not limited to: Airline Terminal Improvement projects, Airport Service Improvement projects, Terminal Development projects and Asset Renewal.

Years of Relevant Experience

The position requires 10+ equivalent years of experience in the administration of commercial/government contracts. Experience in a construction office is necessary.

Essential Job Functions

The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related, and/or a logical assignment for this position. Other duties may be required and assigned.

* Collaborates with the Project Manager regarding disposition of contractual issues

* Preparing Contractual Correspondence

* Facilitate the meriting process of all potential change claims made by contractors, ensuring all appropriate subject matter experts have reviewed the claim

* Assembling Task Orders and Change Orders

* Review Concurrence Letters for conformance with contractual requirements

* Communicate all changes to budget commitments to the cost engineering team to ensure accurate and up-to-date project job costing reporting

* Monitoring insurance compliance

* Ensure proficiency and timeliness of contract administration for change documentation

* Prepare required reports and correspondence

* Attend various meetings, including pre-bid proposal and post-bid proposal debriefings

* Assist in the contract standardization process

* Monitor all aspects of contract compliance

* Assist in resolving problems and disagreements between contractors and LAWA

* Review contractor invoices for contractual compliance

* Conduct closeout actions upon contract completion such as final audit, payment, etc. under the direction of LAWA personnel

* Contribute to the advancement of PDG's goals through commitment to productive collaboration with all stakeholders

* Individuals will be required to contribute effectively to working groups through oral and written communication and cooperative working relationships.

* Produce accurate and timely results while maintaining a customer service attitude

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Bachelor's degree in engineering or a business related field, as well as training in procurement, contract, construction and commercial law.

Master's degree is a plus and may count as additional years of experience.

Certifications required, may include PMP, PE, and/or any other relevant Professional Licensure or Certification. Required cost engineer certification i.e. CCE, CCP.

Skills Requirements

* Experience in alternative project delivery methods including Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) and Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) and Design Build preferred

* Strong analytical background and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* Must be a self-starter attitude with proactive, results-oriented focus; and willing and capable to assume additional responsibilities

* Demonstrated success on the job, as evidenced by satisfactory performance reviews, acceptance of responsibility and growth in previous positions

* Must be detail oriented and highly organized

* Experience with project management software preferred

Travel

Occasional travel required as needed by client/s and/or company
