The Sr Director of Training and Leadership is a key position in driving the organization's success. They are responsible for the leading, directing, and developing our clinical and corporate training and leadership development programs, which contributes to the overall success of both Telecare and those we serve. Our training and leadership development staff are a key element in ensuring we are providing high quality customer service and support to the organization. The Sr Director of Training and Leadership is responsible for setting the strategic development and implementation for training and leadership development, ensuring our workforce are equipped to deliver on our promise of delivering excellence to those most in need. Full Time; AM 8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Monday - Friday Expected starting wage range is $177,455.49 - $219,149.66. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements. Demonstrating consistency in care by ensuring staff are well trained, prepared for their work, able to deliver excellent care and respond to the needs of our clients, that maximizes clinical outcomes while reducing adverse events within the programs. - Workforce Engagement. Having a workforce that is highly engaged translates into the quality-of-care Telecare is able to provide its clients. Being able to maintain low turnover and having staff that stay and grow with the organization are key measures of success. - Customer Satisfaction. Our customers are important. The Sr Director of Training and Leadership needs to be able to regularly interact with customers and ensure awareness of Telecare's commitment to delivering high quality care and minimizing unintended outcomes. - Financial Security. Knowing how to successfully operate within a budget and drive fiscal responsibility through the organization is vitally important to the organization's success. POSITION SUMMARY Telecare recognizes the importance of having the right talent and strong leadership to lead and grow the organization. The Senior Director of Training and Leadership Development leads and directs two of the most critical functions that support Telecare's vision of being a talent-driven organization. The Sr Director of Training and Leadership Development is responsible for leading Training (Clinical & Non-Clinical) and Leadership Development functions. This individual will own the development, implementation and successful execution of the strategies, systems, long-term processes which enable the Company to successfully, develop and retain talent pipelines for all roles across the enterprise, as well as ensure evidence based clinical practices are integrated into training our clinical and program staff. The Senior Director of Training and Leadership Development is responsible for an enterprise-wide clinical and non-clinical training curriculum that compliments and aligns with Telecare's mission, values, and strategic objectives. Key accountabilities include ensuring operational excellence while developing and implementing short term and long-term goals to support strategic initiative, the creation of learning roadmaps, leadership development processes and programs to support the organizations diverse talent and leadership needs at all levels and ensuring the organization has appropriate workforce planning strategies/mechanisms in place to support its growth objectives. The Sr Director of Training and Leadership will also lead a team of Training and Leadership Development professionals to ensure the company continues improving on how it trains and develops the staff and leadership. Serves as an organizational thought leader on training and leadership development, staying current on best practices, coaching and diversity. Specific to Training & Leadership Development, the Senior Director is responsible for providing tools/resources to further our ability to identify and develop top internal talent, including competency frameworks, clinical skills, soft skills, role specific trainings at all levels that increase managerial and leadership capabilities QUALIFICATIONS Required: * Bachelor's degree in organizational development, education, or a related field * Fifteen (15) years' progressive experience in learning and development, including ten (10) years of experience with direct and indirect management responsibilities and staff supervision, and five (5) years' experience in learning and meeting facilitation. * Experience in adult learner methodology while satisfying learning needs of a diverse audience. * Proven experience designing and implementing successful training programs. * Ability to understand metrics, data analysis, and continuous improvement. * Demonstrated experience in leading teams, and high involvement problem solving. * Knowledge of instructional design concepts * Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and emerging technologies in the learning space * Must be at least 18 years of age. * All opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, a valid driver license, a motor vehicle clearance and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Preferred: * Master's degree * Clinical licensure or certification ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Clinical Quality Excellence * Cultivates a culture of continuous learning and development at the individual, team, and organizational levels by delivering relevant clinical training throughout all of Telecare's programs to enhance people, processes and performance to help Telecare achieve its clinical priorities, enhance clinical competency and maintain its competitive advantage. * Responsible for the delivery of training to all programs that will help meet training standards set forth by Telecare and accreditation bodies. * Facilitates delivery of, but not limited to, evidence-based practices, clinical training including therapeutic interventions, assessment methods, trauma informed services and crisis management. * Collaborates with Quality, Medical, Nursing, and Operations leaders to adapt and prioritize clinical training to align with evolving trends in adverse events, patient safety, clinical initiatives and outcomes, and contract deliverables. Employee Engagement * Demonstrate the Telecare mission, purpose, values, and beliefs in everyday language and contact with the internal and external stakeholders. * Leads Training and Development staff located remotely across the organization, including managing performance, workload, and program assignments. Collaborates with key stakeholders to create action plans, set direction, and establish goals. * Ongoing development of training plans that assures all staff have the skills needed to be successful in their role while balancing the burden of training volume. Customer Satisfaction * Implements process improvement plans related to training and development systems, policies and processes, and department/individual performance. * Demonstrates a good rapport and cooperative working relationships with all members of the team; responds to co-workers with concern and promotes group morale. * Demonstrates a knowledge of Telecare's customers including clients/residents, families and governmental agencies in all interactions and conduct. * Acts in a professional manner, always demonstrating respect and understanding of the community and neighborhood when representing Telecare in the community. * Monitors the culture climate to ensure employee engagement and develop initiatives to encourage high performance and commitment to the organization's mission, vision, and values. * Ensures training programs support the changing needs of the business and address new initiatives, with an emphasis on current trends and practices. * Evolves/enhances new employee program offerings, new hire onboarding and our corporate orientation program to drive culture and employee engagement. * Utilizes innovative practices, research, insight, experience and understanding of the needs and culture of Telecare to develop and deliver instructor led, e-learning, or blended learning training programs to develop leadership, communication, performance, and productivity skills. Financial Security * Leads the design, development and implementation of programs, policies and strategies tailored to meet OD needs and program goals. * Consults and communicates with senior leaders regarding workforce development strategies, short/long term objectives, alignment with organizational goals and initiatives. * Manages organizational development (OD) strategies and processes. Assesses Organizational needs of operating, business and functional unit. Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted and/or changed at the discretion of management. SKILLS * Strong influencing and leadership skills with the ability to drive initiatives. * Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to interact with all levels of the organization including senior management. * Strong planning and organizational skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is occasionally required to walk, stand, bend, squat, twist, reach, do simple grasping and carry items weighing 10 pounds or less as well as to frequently sit. The position requires manual deviation, repetition and dexterity. Visual requirements include computers and books exposure.
