IT technical systems analyst is responsible for day-to-day technical support in a manufacturing computing environment. This analyst will monitor and maintain technology systems, including but not limited to (servers, networks, PLC devices, HMI, and SCADA systems). Responds to problems and issues from the manufacturing / engineering departments regarding the performance of their IT systems. IT analyst must possess strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of the technology in order to identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently. Must understand how technology can be leveraged to benefit manufacturing



Responsibilities

Required Skills

    Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Significant knowledge in planning, implementing, and supporting industrial control systems in a manufacturing environment, including but not limited to GE Cimplicity, and Rockwell
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers
  • Self-motivated to effectively manage workload and juggle multiple priorities with strict deadlines
  • Work with Engineering to implement and update controls systems and documentation for the manufacturing support teams
  • Work closely with other IT infrastructure towers (network, server admins, DBA's, developers, and vendors) to resolve complex issues
  • Test new software/hardware and make recommendations to management for manufacturing upgrades
  • Coordinate the installation, upgrades or other deployments that need to be completed during or after normal business hours
  • Design processes and policies based on internal/industry standards
  • Provide system implementation activities and on-going technical support of plant automation systems
  • Strong understanding of change control process is required including weekly CAB meetings
  • Comprehensive knowledge of automated system configuration through imaging technologies
  • Experience in WAN, LAN, and wireless based industrial computing environments
  • Strong technical documentation background required, including document management and version control
  • Experience in hardware and software testing up to and including UAT and FAT
  • Knowledge of hazardous classified environment systems in a manufacturing setting including design, testing and implementation
  • Ability to work with vendor support in troubleshooting HMI / SCADA applications


Qualifications

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 2-4 years demonstrated experience or exposure in a manufacturing automation environment
  • Strong knowledge of all Microsoft Office/Windows applications, including Visio, Project, and SharePoint
  • Experience with current MS windows server / workstation platforms
  • Detailed understanding of networking skills related to industrial controls, including Ethernet switch installation and configuration
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ITIL foundation practices, certification is a plus
  • Project planning and implementation including vendor management
  • Working knowledge of server cabinet and cable management standards
  • Knowledge of scripting to optimize deployments and installations
  • Knowledge of VM Management of virtual computing environments
  • Experienced in industry standard software development lifecycle
  • Experience with HP server and Cisco hardware a must
  • Experience with PLC is a plus

Up to 30% travel may be required

USD $85,000.00 - USD $101,000.00 /Yr.
