Duro-Last, a Division of Holcim Solutions and Products US, LLC, has an opening for a Senior Accountant at our Corporate Headquarters located in Saginaw, Michigan. The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing the month-end close process, performing reconciliations, and ensuring robust internal controls. This is a full-time, salary-based position with excellent benefits and growth opportunities that would report to the Finance Manager. This role requires strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of accounting principles.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Execute the month-end close process for a segment of the Duro-Last business, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations for all accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies to mitigate risk.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data for accurate financial reporting.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and insights.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit documentation and support.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting procedures and controls.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.
  • Minimum of 4-6 years of accounting experience, with a focus on month-end close and reconciliations.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and internal controls.
  • Proficient in accounting software (AS400) and Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
