Working in a supportive role under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician III- Outpatient Infusion Therapy role demonstrates proficiency in all core functions of the pharmacy, including medication preparation, storage, distribution, disposition, and related clerical tasks. This role is responsible for the daily preparation of non-hazardous and hazardous parenteral injections for pediatric and adult patients. This role is also responsible for specialized medication procurement and inventory control of medication and non-medication supplies.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Associate's Degree preferred.

2. License/Certifications: Current or eligible for applicable state(s) license as a Pharmacy Technician. CPhT or PTCB certificate required within one year of hire and maintain.

3. Experience: Three years of experience as a pharmacy technician in healthcare or related environment required. New hires with greater than three years of experience will have six months to meet Pharmacy Technician III essential functions. Demonstrates competency in all essential functions of a Pharmacy Technician II role.

4. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Able to meet requirements of sterile compounding within three months of hire.
