About the Team/Role

WEX Inc is seeking a self-driven and motivated professional to join their growing Corporate Organizational Resilience and Risk team. As a Third-Party Assurance Analyst, you will report to and collaborate with the Mgr. Third Party Assurance to establish, implement, and maintain a best-in-class Third Party Assurance Program.

The successful candidate will be experienced in third-party assurance, customer-centric, excellent communicator, and able to develop approaches that scale. Collaborating, building influence in cross-functional partnerships, and developing stakeholder relationships across the organization and with third-party providers is an essential part of this role. In addition, this role will contribute his/her expertise in third-party assurance to provide robust, credible, insightful, and constructive advancement of third-party assurance activities.

How you'll make an impact

  • Provide innovative ideas, and thought leadership to play a key role in establishing, implementing, and maintaining a best-in-class robust, flexible, and automated Third Party Assurance Program in a fast-moving, changing Fintech environment to enable WEX's business strategy with appropriate contractual compliance assurance in place.

  • Supporting build-out of the Third Party Assurance Program in alignment with stakeholders across the organization and related processes (procurement, sales, legal, information security, account management, compliance, etc.)

  • Leveraging experience to support ongoing evaluation of the adequacy, effectiveness, and execution of the program and internal controls; recommending and driving improvements or enhancements in alignment with internal strategies, industry best practices, standard security frameworks, and contractual requirements

  • Contributing to the implementation of tools and automation to support effective management and oversight of third-party assurance activities that enable ongoing maturity of processes to scale the program

  • Support the development of processes to maintain accurate knowledge libraries that support consistent responses to assurance requests across the enterprise

  • Support Manager in developing and monitoring Key Performance and Key Risk Indicators and other metrics and regular reporting to measure and track compliance, risk, and the effectiveness of the program, including regular and ad hoc reporting to internal as well as external stakeholders such as regulators

  • Maintaining presentation materials to provide a program overview, updates, and results to committees, key partners, and third parties

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships based on trust and transparency with primary business stakeholders and third-party contacts

  • Providing support and input for related audits or examinations from internal/external parties and collaborating with relevant stakeholders to ensure findings are appropriately remediated

  • Providing ongoing consulting and subject-matter expertise; developing and delivering training to build awareness of third-party assurance processes

  • Support the company's commitment to risk management and protecting the confidentiality, integrity and availability of systems and data

Experience you'll bring

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in customer account management, third-party assurance, or related discipline

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver multiple high-priority projects simultaneously, the ability to drive alignment across teams with competing priorities, and be a strong advocate for risk management.

  • Demonstrated experience completing and responding to third-party assessments, audits, RFX, ad hoc security inquiries

  • Experience in a Fintech company is preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex issues in a clear, concise, and impactful way

  • Experience working hands-on and collaboratively with other cross-functional team leaders, such as lawyers, sales teams, security professionals, product managers, data analysts, and operations analysts in improving risk management processes and systems

  • Experience and comfort working in an ever-changing industry and the flexibility to quickly react to changing demands

  • Proactive attitude with a strong track record of project/program management experience.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.

  • Proven track record of proactive sound decision-making, taking ownership and delivering results

The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position. Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package. Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan. Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
