We are looking for a Director, International Business Development to help us develop and implement Trex's long-term international strategies across multiple geographies. As a Trex Director, International Business Development, you will be looked to as an innovator and expected to drive sales growth in international markets by managing all aspects of business development. This role is a key member of our Sales team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strategic Development: Formulate business strategies to determine focus markets and the optimal go-to-market strategies within each, including identifying suitable distribution partners and marketing strategies.
  • Sales Growth: Drive sales growth in international markets by managing all aspects of business development. Prepare sales plans and forecasts for each market.
  • Customer Management: Effectively manage existing and potential customers, identifying and capitalizing on opportunities within various sales channels, including DIY retailers and pro-channel outlets.
  • Leadership: Lead and mentor international-based employees. Provide cross-functional management of North American-based support resources.
  • Customer Advocacy: Act as an advocate for the business with customer service, marketing, logistics, and other departments to ensure flawless service to international customers.
  • Promotional Strategy: Develop and execute international promotional strategies. Tailor market tactics as appropriate and manage the development of promotional materials consistent with the Trex brand and local market requirements.
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage international SG&A budgets to support projected growth.


DIRECT REPORTS

Manage and provide ongoing performance, coaching, and professional development opportunities for a team of 5 international direct reports.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

This position requires 50% - 70% overnight, international travel within the territory and for customer meetings, trainings, and conferences. A valid driver's license is required.

JOB LOCATION

Remote candidates will be considered but must live on the East Coast near a major, international airport.

EXPERIENCE

We are looking for leaders with a bachelor's degree in business along with 15+ years of experience in international sales. We want to hear from you if you have previous experience as an International Sales Director.

SALARY

Base Salary Range: $160,000 - $215,000 annually.

The salary range provided serves as a general guideline for potential compensation for this position. It reflects the base salary and does not account for other benefits or additional compensation opportunities that may apply. This role is also eligible for further compensation through an annual/sales bonus, in addition to the base salary.

At Trex, individual base salaries are determined based on various factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. We are committed to maintaining pay equity and consider the internal equity of our existing team members when finalizing compensation offers.
