We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team of marketing professionals and support the firm's business development efforts. This role leads and supports federal marketing pursuits across the company, which offers multidiscipline services in the transportation, ports, and water markets throughout the world. Federal proposal managers are responsible for organizing and managing efforts of global, national, regional, and local staff to ensure preparation and delivery of high quality, creative, and compliant proposals, as well as lead development and production of marketing materials, proposals, and presentations. We are open to candidates anywhere in the continental United States.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Execute SF 330 proposal development, production, and submission
  • Provide team with a clear definition of proposal content, assignments, and production schedule
  • Coordinate, write, edit, and produce statement of qualifications, presentations, and collateral marketing materials
  • Collaborate with project managers, key engineering and planning staff, graphic designers, and fellow marketers to ensure deliverables meet client needs and request for proposal (RFP)/request for qualification (RFQ) requirements
  • Guide pursuit/proposal teams in developing and refining winning strategies and themes, compelling messages, and persuasive benefit/differentiator pairs
  • Develop and write persuasive messages based on information from independent research, meetings with proposal team members, and knowledge of organizational capabilities and services
  • Consolidate team input into clear and effective responses, write executive summaries and non-technical content, tailor project and resume information to the specific needs of each pursuit and client
  • Provide preliminary and final quality control check of materials, including proofreading for grammar, RFP/RFQ compliance, and conformance to proposal strategies and win themes
  • Collaborate with graphic designers to develop visual themes that support winning strategies and appropriately address the target audience
  • Provide strategy, storyboarding, message development and production support presentations, as well as client briefings and other internal and external communication
  • Research federal pursuit competitive information and develop comprehensive reports for federal client managers and business unit leaders
  • Act as a liaison between federal client managers, federal pursuit manager, and business unit leaders

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related discipline; required
  • 5 or more years of proposal writing experience which includes hands-on marketing experience in the A-E industry for federal clients; required
  • Knowledge of the federal government's procurement process; required
  • SF 330 proposal development, production, and submission experience; required
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work cooperatively with diverse teams and personalities; comfortable working with remote team members
  • Proficiency with Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Word
  • A passion for working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated initiative, follow-through, researching, and problem-solving ability
  • Commitment to quality and continuous improvement
  • All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Base salary range:

$105,000 to $137,000 based on years of experience, level of education obtained, professional registration (if required), and meeting required qualification in job description.

Base salary range only applicable for candidates who will be hired and working in the California, New York City, Colorado or Washington markets.

Working conditions:

The work takes place mostly in an office environment. Must be able to work flexible hours (across multiple time zones) and to travel as and when required. Some overtime on workdays and weekends may be required.

Physical requirements:

Sedentary for long periods of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
