Rockville, MD Pay From: $40 per hour MUST: 1 year of experience Knowledge of and experience with NFPA codes Experience conducting construction inspections Issuing final occupancy permits Witnessing acceptance tests for fire alarm and sprinkler system modifications Experienced with Life safety and hazard analysis surveys Ability to review architectural and engineering designs Experience reviewing fire protection shop drawings for buildings Bachelor's Degree as in Fire Protection Engineering DUTIES: The Duties of the Fire Protection Engineer include but are not limited to the following: Review architectural / engineering designs and fire protection system shop drawings for various buildings. Conduct construction inspections Issue final occupancy permits Review and watch acceptance tests for fire alarm and sprinkler system modifications Evaluate building conditions through life safety and hazard analysis surveys Provide technical guidance using various NFPA codes including Fire Code, Hydrogen Technologies Code, Commissioning of Fire Protection and Life Safety Codes, Integrated Fire Protection, Life System Testing and Portable Fire Extinguishers Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
