The Investigator-Physical Security position is responsible for the security of all Bank premises, employees, valuables, information, and equipment. This position interfaces with outside Federal, State, and local law enforcement.
What You Will Do
1. Partners with Human Resources and appropriate departments to conduct internal investigations; makes recommendations for closure of investigations and for improvements of processes as necessary.
2. Responds to emergency events in all Bank locations both during and after core bank hours. 3. Performs branch security assessments and makes recommendations as appropriate for upgrades or changes. 4. Provides security analysis and recommendations for new branch construction/relocations, branch consolidations, and mergers and acquisitions. Liaises with employees, vendors, and contractors to ensure security recommendations are implemented appropriately and within regulatory and policy requirements. 5. Acts as the Bank's interface with Federal, State, and local law enforcement, and maintain a working relationship with said individuals for the prevention, reporting, and investigation of crimes against the Bank. Files police reports on behalf of the Bank as necessary. 6. Ensures that intrusion devices, alarms and cameras that record activity in branches and other Bank locations are regularly and appropriately tested for optimum performance. Provides oversight for access control to Bank buildings. Reviews and updates access control systems and access badges as needed. Requests maintenance as needed with all Security vendors. 7. Supports Bank employees in complying with the Security Policy, Program, and Procedures, which includes Security training to bank personnel. 8. Performs other duties as assigned by the Safety and Security Manager. Requirements
What We Expect of You
* Knowledge of investigation, interview, and conflict management skills.
* Working knowledge of applicable laws and practices involved in bank security, including information privacy laws, access, release of information, and related technologies. * Critical member of team. Must be reliable, dependable, and maintain a high degree of flexibility and confidentiality. * Working knowledge of CCTV surveillance system and other security-related software and systems. * Ability to apply best practice methods to investigative activity, law enforcement assistance, and security training. * Demonstrated excellent written, verbal communication, listening, and interpersonal skills. * Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills. * Ability to maintain and report on confidential information in an appropriate manner. Your Qualifications
* One to three years' minimum experience in retail bank, compliance, security and/or law enforcement * BA or BS degree preferred. Internal and External Contacts
* Frequent internal contact with all departments of the Bank. * Frequent external contact with local, State, and Federal law enforcement, and security vendors. Working Conditions/Physical Requirements
Office environment. Ability to operate a computer. Ability to communicate clearly in order to exchange simple to complex information with individuals and groups. Ability to remain in a stationary position or move about the work environment throughout workday as required to conduct investigations. Ability to operate, or position equipment as required in course of investigations. Ability to travel throughout the company footprint. |
