Production Maintenance Technician Category: Manufacturing & Production Employment Type: Direct Hire Yoh is searching for a Production Maintenance Technician for our Pharmaceutical client here in St. Louis, MO. Work Schedule: Saturday - Tuesday 3:00pm - 1:30am. Ability to work overtime as needed.
Essential Functions
- Work from schematics, engineering drawings, and written or verbal instructions
- Perform all assigned PM's and work orders on time and make preventative maintenance checks and inspections as required.
- Perform functionality and alignment checks; adjust, modifications, and replacements as directed.
- Perform preventative maintenance on various pieces of manufacturing and associated support equipment.
- Respond to production-down issues in a manner that minimizes downtime.
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical system in an industrial environment.
- Determines best course of action to make repairs. Sets and/or adjusts priorities to ensure safety and reliability of production equipment and support systems.
- Test equipment after repairs and leave equipment and area in a clean, safe condition.
- Operate related equipment, conduct tests, and report data in prescribed format.
- Use predetermined methods, sequences, and setups to inspect or test specific equipment or product, making modifications and adjustments, as necessary.
- Be self-motivated and able to work as a member of a team when needed.
- Ensure a safe and quality working environment through training, awareness, and compliance to safety guidelines and SOP's.
- Follow and promote on-the-job safety expectations, including wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and following cGMP rules and guidelines in all designated areas.
- Maintain proper housekeeping expectations.
Requirements
- Two-year degree in Electrical Automation, Industrial Maintenance, Electronics, Electrical systems, or related field required or equivalent training in Armed Forces training schools.
- One or more years of experience in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial equipment and/or automation systems, preferably in pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment.
Experience in the Following:
- AC/DC electrical power systems / supplies
- Industrial manufacturing equipment, automated systems
- Automation electronics, electrical controls / PLCs
- Proximity and optical sensors, signal wiring / connectivity
- AC/DC motors
- Basic soldering
- Strong troubleshooting skills, with and without schematics
- General mechanical proficiency / use of variety of hand tools
- Use of voltmeter and other general-purpose test equipment
- Pneumatics, hydraulics, and associated controls
- Licensed electrician or equivalent background in high voltage electrical.
- Vacuum pumps / systems
- Sterilization chambers (steam supplied autoclaves)
- General plumbing proficiency
- Electro-mechanical systems / servos
- WFI or USP water systems
- Circuit board repair
- Ethernet communications / wiring
- Building Management Systems
- Reverse engineering
- Root Cause Analysis
