This free-standing 306-bed children's hospital ranks as one of the top children's hospitals in the United States. The Department of Pediatrics - Division of Hematology, Oncology, BMT is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support the Pediatric Oncology services in a variety of clinical settings, working closely with an attending physician to care for pediatric oncology patients located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin at the MACC Fund Research Center. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works as a member of a multidisciplinary health care team, providing direct patient care to children under the care of the inpatient and outpatient oncology service. Services will be performed in the Inpatient and/or Outpatient Oncology unit with the potential to also provide support in the Day Hospital and/or Procedures unit. The patient population includes oncology patients, ranging from infants to young adults. The Ideal Candidate will be passionate about Pediatrics and Pediatric Oncologic care wanting to be part of a thriving and very collaborative academic practice at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). Areas of responsibility will include, but not be limited to providing direct patient care to patients of the Pediatric Hematologic and Oncologic services within a variety of clinical settings including inpatient and/or outpatient oncology unit with the potential to provide support in the day hospital and/or procedures unit. Preferred Experience: Previous APP, nursing, pediatric or oncology experience preferred. Minimum Education: Advanced Practice Nurse: Master's Degree or higher in Nursing Minimum Requirements: *or eligible Advanced Practice Nurse Physician Assistant Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner Wisconsin Physician Assistant License Wisconsin RN License Certification by NCCPA Wisconsin Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber License AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, DEA Pediatric Certification required; FNP considered.
