The Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Medical Progressive Care Unit (MPCU). The MPCU is a 21-bed high acuity-intermediate care unit, with a dynamic environment where a team of fun-loving health care professionals work together to take care of complex critically ill adult patients. Nurses on the MPC manage a wide range of complex medical conditions, including but not limited to sepsis, respiratory failure, liver disease, renal disease, diabetic ketoacidosis, and alcohol withdrawal. Unique to our IMC, our nurses will have the opportunity to care for patients on ventilators, administer vasoactive drips, and perform cardiac monitoring to ensure the highest level of patient care. MPC nurses are compassionate individuals with strong clinical backgrounds and excellent communication skills. Our nurses will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care to all of our patients. Requirements:




  • Baccalaureate degree, in nursing from an accredited School of Nursing, preferred.

    Applicants with an Associate Degree in nursing will be considered. per nursing guidelines, must matriculate to Bachelors of Nursing program.
  • Active BLS via AHA, American Red Cross or Military Training Network at time of hire
  • Active Maryland RN or Compact License at time of hire

Salary Range: Minimum 34.00 per hour - Maximum 51.16 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
