The Data Control Technician I performs various tasks to help the implementation of scientific studies. They perform a variety of moderately to complex procedures to assist investigators and research groups in the mailing of study materials to individuals and study participants.



Responsibilities

    Mailing Services, includes but may not be limited to, printing research documents, mail-merges using MS Word; assembling printed research materials for mailing; tracking receipt and distribution of mailed items; mailing items using USPS and FedEx.
  • Use complex data capture systems for data entry and tracking of returned paper study materials. Identify, research, and resolve problems, ambiguities, or inconsistencies in the data, consulting with the Supervisor
  • Assist with maintenance of electronic and paper file storage.
  • Maintain data confidentiality requirements.
  • Perform general clerical duties.
  • Perform other duties as required.

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • The incumbent works under direct supervision.
  • Non-routine decisions are referred to the Supervisor.


Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school graduation or GED.
  • 1 year of experience in data entry.
  • Keyboard speed of at least 35 WPM.
  • Experience in a job requiring attention to detail and accuracy.

The hourly pay range for this position is from $20.00 to $26.22 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
