Job Summary Job Description Job Summary This intern position will work with the trading analytics team to support commercial optimization at Vistra Job Description Key Accountabilities: Conduct quantitative analysis on large amounts of power market data Deliver Machine Learning solutions to enable data driven trading functions Develop innovative tools to enhance transmission trading functions Automate or improve existing business process as efficient as possible Education, Experience and Skill Requirements: Candidates must be currently enrolled in a fulltime bachelor program with a major in mathematics, statistics, computer science or related field Robust mathematical skill and ability to process large amounts of information to synthetize it into actionable commercial decisions Strong programming skills with Python, R, SAS or C++ Experience or coursework in the following areas are applicable to above skills: Multivariate calculus and differential equations Linear algebra and econometric analysis Statistics, probability, and discrete mathematics Algorithm and process design Job Family General Services Company Luminant Energy Company LLC Locations Irving, Texas Texas We are a company of people committed to: Exceeding Customer Expectations, Great People, Teamwork, Competitive Spirit and Effective Communication.
