SUMMARY

The Strategic Sourcing Analyst is responsible for supporting the development and execution of Commodity Strategies in coordination with the Commodity or Category Manager.

Emphasis will focus on strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management to manage volatility, ensure stability of the Supply Chain, mitigate risk, and deliver a competitive environment for the Enterprise.

Responsibility for driving Supplier performance will be concentrated on quality, delivery, and cost management.

This position will lead and execute tactically in collaboration with the Commodity or Category Manager as well as other functional areas including engineering, operations, RD&I, quality, and finance.

Focus is on the development and implementation of moderate risk commodities, and moderately complex suppliers and/or projects.

Planning and scope generally occur on a local level, with an occasional need to work across the enterprise. This role requires an ability to build relationships within cross-functional teams, across the supply base, and communicate effectively.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Support or lead key initiatives and projects that drive value across the enterprise.

Maintain and leverage critical relationships with key stakeholders and organizations that foster improvements around cost, quality, delivery, and process.

Participate with the Commodity or Category Manager in the development of strategies for the commodity or category area of responsibility in order to improve the position of the company

Participate in commodity or category reviews as necessary with the Commodity or Category Manager and Leadership.

Possesses an understanding of the commodity or category as it relates to business requirements, risk, market trends, supply base capabilities, cost factors and the effect on quality and reliability on the company's objectives.

Lead negotiations and ensure agreements properly address risk, sustainability, and meets business demand at the lowest total acquisition cost, utilizing the Commodity or Category Manager as appropriate for mentoring and development.

Provide linkage to management and senior management group on an occasional basis to ensure their understanding of the state of the commodity or category.

Perform financial analysis, analyze and align commodity or category and business requirements.

Research available sources on a local level and occasionally larger level and perform supplier analysis.

Leads cross-functional supplier selection process from RFx to contract completion, including RFx development, release and evaluation

Contract and SLA development

Negotiation strategy development and implementation

Final contract execution

Consults with business functions on business opportunities.

Uses sourcing tools already in place, participates in the development of new and improvement of existing tools.

MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS

Required BA or BS in Supply Chain, Business Management or related field of study, or equivalent relevant experience

5-10 Years in Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement or related functional area

Ability to develop business case evaluations, background in market research and ability to negotiate win-win contracts and solutions.

Results orientation - ensuring work is completed on time, on budget and within quality parameters

Ability to learn new commodity or category areas of focus without significant oversight and to do so in a relatively short period of time.

A proven leader, an ideal teammate who leads change, inspires others and is focused on the needs of the business

Understands most contract terms. Develops less complex agreements. Highly skilled at integrating industry information into SLA development processes and procedures

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
