Description

In this position, you will support patient care by performing x-rays as ordered by provider for diagnostic purposes. As a member of the patient care team, you will perform routine administrative and clinical tasks to maintain workflows and efficiency in the clinical offices.

  • Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, positions patients on the exam table and adjusts equipment to obtain optimal views of specific body area
  • Perform procedures based on established technique chart using independent judgment to support the radiological orders
  • Exhibit solid understanding and collaborate with departments as it relates to radiological services
  • Demonstrate proper equipment usage, use appropriate technique charts, follow appropriate exposure index ranges and assure markers are set appropriatelyProvides assistance in QA measures including recording QC testing on designated equipment
  • Explains policies, procedures, or services to patients using clinical or administrative knowledge, based on scope of practice
  • Set up exam room/procedure rooms appropriately based on patient visit needs
  • Adhere to all infection prevention standards, department policies and guidelines
  • Manage patient care flow and assists with monitoring message pools and standard work
  • Perform patient intakes including appropriate vital signs, reviews medication list, reviews medical/surgical history, and documents in the electronic medical record (EMR)

*This position will support clinics in the Santa Barbara region and surrounding areas.*

Salary range: $46.21-$56.32 Hourly

Qualifications

Required:

  • Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART) certification(must include/cover digital radiography, chest, extremities, skull, and torso-skeletal).
  • Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
  • Current BLS from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Graduate from JRCERT program
  • Skill in performing all daily tasks independently, while working as part of a team, within a demanding environment.
  • Ability to promote team ownership of a project and avoid personal control.
  • Ability to prioritize work, handling multiple tasks to completion, within the time allotted.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills effectively and diplomatically with patients, visitors, hospital staff, physicians, and other outside offices both in person and over the phone.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written with persons of various social, cultural, economic, and educational backgrounds.
