Summary of Position

The Accountant is a member of the Accounting and Finance team working with the accounting systems to complete general accounting responsibilities. This position will be responsible for assisting the Manager of Accounting in analyzing financial information by performing the assigned duties as they relate to general accounting tasks.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm, schedule may be adjusted

Essential Functions

  • Complete daily accounting processes including journal entries, reconciliations, and analysis.
  • Participate in annual financial audits by preparing audit materials.
  • Adhere to proper internal controls.
  • Research GL detail and transactions to assist other departments on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Assist with tax preparation and filing process, ensuring all are filed in a timely manner.
  • Assist with month end consolidation process.
  • Work with Corporate to provide support and analysis to questions.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of the reported information.
  • Prepare journal entries as part of the monthly/quarterly/year end close process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline financial reporting processes, implement best practices, and identify efficiencies.
  • Support ad hoc projects and requests as required.
  • Must maintain operational compliance with US and international regulatory agencies and guidelines (i.e. FDA, EU, HC, TGA, PIC/S, ISO, USP, NRC, cGMP, etc.).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with concentration in Accounting or Finance
  • 3 or moreyears of relevant experience preferred with strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); experience with IFRS a plus
  • CPA or MBA/MAcc preferred
  • Proficient skills with Microsoft Excel, Access and Word
  • Ability to collaborate with a multi-cultural and cross-functional team
  • Independent, inquisitive and a self-starter

  • Must be able to work outside of regular work hours, including off shift, weekend, and holiday work as business needs require
