Job Summary:

The Onsite Desktop Support Technician will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users at our office location. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, setting up and maintaining computer systems, and ensuring optimal performance of all desktop environments.
Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide onsite technical support for desktop and laptop computers, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, applications, and peripheral devices.
  • Respond to and resolve support tickets in a timely manner, ensuring minimal disruption to users.
  • Assist with network connectivity issues and collaborate with the IT team to resolve complex problems.
  • Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and backups.
  • Educate users on best practices for computer usage and security.
  • Document all support activities and maintain accurate records of hardware and software inventory.
  • Assist with the setup and support of audiovisual equipment for meetings and presentations.
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in desktop support or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Familiarity with network protocols and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Customer-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality support.


Preferred Skills:

  • Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, or similar.
  • Experience with remote support tools
  • Knowledge of Active Directory
  • Snow Ticketing Systems
