Job Description

Torch Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Data Manager located in Kettering, OH (Dayton, WPAFB) to support three programs on our EPASS GB contract. As part of the AFLCMC/GB Business and Enterprise Systems Directorate, the Stoc Control System (SCS) is a web-based and mainframe wholesale and depot retail asset management system. It provides enhanced processing of stock control transactions and management information for Air Force and Marine Corps (USMC) operations. The system directly supports AF, USMC, and other service/agency customers. It provides worldwide combat readiness and sustainability for the warfighter through allocation, custody, and distribution of supply and equipment items supporting the full range of Air Force weapon systems such as F-35, F22, F-15, F-16, A-10, C-130, C-17, C-5, etc. The SCS FIAR RDT&E efforts are focused on modernizing and improving this Air Force capability.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This position requires a highly motivated individual with Data Management experience to be able to plan, develop, implement, and administer information systems for the acquisition, storage, and retrieval of data. Functions required to be performed by individuals in this specialty may include:

* Document and deliver file plans

* Maintain a variety of electronic files and websites utilizing web-based applications

* Analyzing and recommending data requirements and specifications

* Designing, normalizing, developing, installing, and implementing databases

* Maintaining, monitoring, performance tuning, backup, and recovery of databases

* Installing, configuring, and maintaining database management systems software

* Analyzing and planning for anticipated changes in data capacity requirements

* Developing and administering data standards, policies, and procedures

* Developing and implementing data mining and data warehousing programs

* Evaluating and providing recommendations on new database technologies and architectures

* Ensuring the rigorous application of information security/ cybersecurity policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of data management services

* Performing Microsoft SharePoint administration duties. Responsible for providing technical support for the SharePoint environment including assessment and implementation of new capabilities. Duties may include:

o Configuring SharePoint services and settings

o Documenting SharePoint configuration and architecture

o Managing site quotas and file size limits

o Reviewing and monitoring usage reports

o Managing content databases and creating new ones as required

o Administering and maintaining sites

o Managing site layout structure and content

o Providing SharePoint support to end users

* Coordinating and documenting meetings and conferences to include scheduling, set up of physical and virtual meetings,

* Maintaining Division org charts, org rosters, supplies, floor plans, and emergency management information

* Conducting research and compiling data associated with acquisition programs. Functions may include:

o Preparing various reports and documents while complying with Air Force writing standards for factual, clear, concise, complete, and appropriately coordinated written communications - Reviewing high level Air Force communications packages (Memos, White Papers, etc.) for accuracy

o Disseminating data regarding program policy and guidance for members throughout the organization

o Reviewing high level Air Force communications packages (Memos, White Papers, etc.) for accuracy

Job Requirements

Must be a U.S Citizen.

Must be able to obtain a T1/NACI clearance.

EDUCATION:

Minimum Recommended Education and Experience:

Bachelor's or master's Degree in a related field and at least three years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline being performed, three of which must be in the DoD, OR

Seven years of directly related experience with proper certifications, five of which must be in the DoD.

Must have the knowledge, experience and demonstrated ability to perform tasks related to the technical/professional discipline they are performing. Has the ability to work independently and apply the proper procedures and process related to their area of expertise. Has the ability to problem solve and troubleshoot various situations to develop successful outcomes within established program/project guidelines. (Program Office and Staff Level Support

interface)

* Strong experience using the Microsoft Office Suite to include PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Visio, and Excel

* Strong experience using Microsoft SharePoint for records management

* Experienced in the use of the Defense Travel System (DTS)

* Familiar with the use of Video and Teleconference capabilities to support the scheduling, reservation, and execution of meetings. This includes but may not be limited to:

o Microsoft Teams Virtual Meetings

o Conference Room Phone and Video Technologies
