Our people make Apogee a special company and are a key competitive advantage. We are looking for an Commodity Specialist to help us achieve our goals. This role is responsible for the procurement of materials, supplies, equipment, and services consistent with the quality, quantity, and cost requirements for Apogee Corporate. These functions include; Placing purchase orders, confirming order acknowledgments, supplier onboarding within our S2P program, identifying and expediting backorders with our vendor community, sourcing indirect spend, and the ability to communicate throughout multiple organizational levels. This position will develop strong cross functional working relationships while executing value driven projects and implementing best practices. This role will report to the Procurement Manager COE and will manage buying for corporate services departments across Apogee. The Commodity Specialist will also support the central category teams with sourcing activities. This position is hybrid, 70% on-site at the Headquarters office. Key Responsibilities:
