About the Role

The Onsite Shift Supervisor will focus on efficient and secure transportation, operations, logistics, human resources, project management, finance, and the overall performance of the Command Center. The Onsite Shift Supervisor will support established workflows, policies, procedures, and protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong and effective leadership skills as well as a demonstrated ability to work effectively with various levels of staff, dynamic management team, and government personnel. In addition, the position is expected to oversee and coordinate all aspects of day-to-day operations and competently respond to any situation that may arise and possess the flexibility to adjust to surge demands.

This position is for a future opportunity and may not be immediately available.



What You'll Do in Your New Role

    High visible management role that manages all operations, both future and current, that occur on designated shifts, on-site.
  • Oversee and execute end-to-end operations and logistics with the objective of successful family reunification.
  • Ensure the safe and secure transport of all unaccompanied children while maintaining strict adherence to cost and schedule parameters.
  • Ensure all on-site equipment and systems are fully functional and in working order.
  • Shift supervisor may directly interface with USG personnel via virtual sessions or telephonically.
  • Leads and participates in daily meetings with on-site personnel and higher management.
  • Directly responsible for all personnel on shift; ensure all personnel are synchronized and working together to achieve common objectives.
  • Informs and interfaces directly with Program Manager and Deputy Program Manager and supervises everyone on shift at the Command Center and regional operational center and regional reunification centers. Immediately notifies PM and DPM of significant or high impact events.


Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in this domain
  • Associates Degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word & Excel and comfortable with utilizing technology leveraged to manage operation centers
  • Organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and priorities
  • Experienced in deconflicting competing priorities and stabilizing emergent situations
  • Exceptional organizational and planning skills
  • Strong communication and influential skills, both verbal and written
  • Empathetic and compassionate individual with the ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Availability to support flexible schedules, including 12-hour shifts
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check
  • HSPD-12 PIV Credential Tier 1
  • National Agency Check and Inquiries-NACI Clearance
  • Ability to pass a drug test; will be subject to random drug testing throughout employment


Desired Qualifications

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Experience working with ORR, either directly or within a contractual requirement, in a management capacity
  • Experience working in or with an Influx Care Facility (ICF) or Emergency Intake Shelter (EIS) in a management/leadership capacity
  • Project management experience
