~ 40 Hours/week, Monday - Friday, Day shift ~ Maine state licensure to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required Position Summary A new opportunity for a Behavioral Health Clinician to be part of a bariatric surgery and medical weight loss program, part of Maine Medical Center, located in South Portland, Maine. The Weight & Wellness program is comprised of a multi-disciplinary team including Nutritionists, Surgeons, Medical Assistants, MDs, Bariatricians, and behavioral health providers. This team works collaboratively to treat both adults and kids who are in their journey to create a healthier self. The behavioral health clinician is part of this fast paced, high-volume practice, bringing in their expertise to optimize outcomes for patients. Your role includes providing assessments and focused treatment to patients of the practice. Treatment modalities include both individual and group therapy to address any concerns that may have been identified during the assessment. You must be comfortable working with both adults and kids, and families. The work is enhanced by being part of a medical team with solid experience in integrated work. Collaborative work with psychiatrists and other integrated clinicians in the MaineHealth system adds to the experience. Individual supervision, group supervision, psychiatry consultation, and quarterly trainings are added benefits of this position. This position will be a generalist Master's Level mental health Clinician with interest, training and/or experience integrating mental health services into the primary care setting. This position will be placed in primary care practices, work with adults, families and children; and provide assessment, screening, and referral services. Additionally, brief individual therapy, prevention and educational services will be provided and include collaborative work with primary care physicians and their office staff, psychiatrists and other behavioral health providers.
