Senior Director of Audio Visual (AV) & Video Teleconference (VTC) Programs

This position will be responsible for directing, managing and overseeing all aspects of multiple AV / VTC technology projects to ensure they are completed on-time and within budget. You will have the overall responsibility for managing scope, cost, pricing proposals, schedule, customer relationships, internal staffing, outside vendors (as applicable), capture, business development and contractual deliverables. You will be required to report to executive senior leadership (within By Light and DISA) regarding status of the projects. You must possess a strong knowledge of AV / VTC technology to effectively work through issues as they arise.

This position will split time between in Hanover, MD and Ft Meade, MD.

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a long-term strategy for the organization's AV and video teleconferencing capture, business development, infrastructure and services.
• System Design and Implementation: Design, deploy, and maintain state-of-the-art AV and video teleconferencing systems, including audio, video, and control systems.
• Project Management: Oversee AV and video teleconferencing projects from inception to completion, including capturing, proposing, planning, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
• Technical Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting for AV and video teleconferencing systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Budget Management: Develop and manage the department's budget, including capital expenditures and operational costs.
• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of AV project managers, technicians and engineers, providing guidance, training, and support.
• Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
• Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and security protocols.
• Stay Updated: Stay up to date with the latest AV and video teleconferencing technologies and trends.

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or a related field.
• Advanced certifications in AV and video teleconferencing technologies (e.g., CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I).
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in AV and video teleconferencing design, implementation, and support.
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• In-depth knowledge of AV and video teleconferencing equipment and software.
• Experience with network infrastructure and IP-based systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide effective solutions.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• PMP is desired but not required

• Minimum SECRET Clearance required
• Travel: up to 25%

Salary Minimum: $120,000

Salary Maximum: $150,000

The annual base salary provided is a guideline for this position and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
