Description:

This position works under the supervision of the Great Lakes ADA Center Associate Director. Responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Center. Inclusive of assisting with maintaining records and reports and supporting the Center's training and technical assistance activities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Format materials and supplemental handouts for webinars
  • Compiles and analyzes data and information, evaluates, and summarizes findings from online webinars
  • Coordinates the logistics and activities for specific projects or events, including but not limited to reasonable accommodations, technical support, etc.
  • Represents the unit on various committees within the ADA National Network as assigned
  • Participates in the hiring, training, supervising, and/or evaluating of student employees
  • Provide support to social media activities such as monitoring posts and collecting post outreach/engagement data
  • Schedules, assigns, reviews, and/or provides recommendations regarding work within the Center's programs
  • Provides program support and recommendations of procedures, technical specifications, and developments related to the Center's various projects
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned


  • Minimum Qualifications Required:

    1. Bachelor's degree.
    2. Over one (1) year of experience in providing administrative/program support in an academic setting.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience creating and managing accessible social media posts with specific experience working with Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn
    • Experience creating/editing documents to ensure that they are accessible according to the minimum requirements of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3G 2.0)
