How can you make an impact?

McGraw-Hill Education, the leading provider of digital and print educational materials is looking for a creative, innovative, strategic Instructional Designer, Math (K-12)for our Reveal programs.

You will be a valuable member of a collaborative group of Instructional Designers, closely partnering with teams focused on content, product management, UX, and creative media. As part of this team, you will create robust digital tools,curriculumand learning solutions in a variety of formats that are used by millions of educators and students every day. The Instructional Designer, Math is a digital savvy content and curriculum expert, responsible and accountable for assembling high-quality content based on specific product requirements for theMath programs.

It will be filled as a Project Status Worker (PSW) designation. This is a remote position open to applicants authorized to work for any employer within the United States.

What you will be doing:

  • Contribute to early product workstreams, focusing on the creation of POCs and prototypes, under the guidance of management and senior team members.
  • Design, storyboard, and develop digital curriculum assets (e.g., videos, eBooks, simulations, games) using the UBD (Understanding by Design) process.
  • Participate in concept meetings, review manuscripts, create storyboards, and contribute during alpha and beta stages of digital asset development.
  • Provide support in content authoring using digital tools, collaborating with management and senior team members to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Assist with user testing, offering feedback to improve the user experience, and support the training of associate instructional designers.
  • Ensure strong accessibility practices throughout the product development process and manage relationships with AD vendors and freelancers.
  • Lead product build processes, manage workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements, schedules, and goals.
  • Drive digital launches, identify solutions for development issues, and conduct QA to ensure vendor work adheres to guidelines and quality standards.

What you need to be considered:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Instructional Technology, Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in digital content development, including teaching and learning materials.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and budgets.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with authoring tools, learning management systems (LMS), and content management systems (CMS).
  • Experience in instructional design, educational technology, or prior K-12 teaching experience.

The pay range for this position is between$49,500 - $65,000annually, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
