The Practice Leader is responsible for oversight of clinic location with accountability for all clinic operations including cost, quality, and patient satisfaction results. Reporting to the Operations Director for New York region, this leader will manage to clinic budgets for finance, staffing, quality performance, facilities, and physician relations and is critical to driving the clinical quality and patient service experience across clinics. This leader drives the performance of clinic teams providing growth, development, and ongoing management of practice operations staff. Excellent communication, problem-solving, follow-through and diplomacy skills are required for success in this highly visible leadership role.

The Office Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations within a specified clinic. The specific location will be communicated throughout the interview process.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Manage overall performance of assigned Clinic location across assigned market including cost, quality, and patient satisfaction
  • Partner with integration teams to ensure successful practice onboarding and integration, and appropriate resource allocation
  • Support provider recruitment efforts in the market and play a key role in the successful onboarding and integration of new practices and providers
  • Assist with operations and clinical operations as necessary, support front desk and medical assistant functions
  • Provide leadership and coaching to Clinic teammates ensuring regular communication across the team and development to prepare for continued growth
  • Handle all aspects of staffing and team management, fostering a high-performance work environment that values employees and promotes development and success
  • Ensure appropriate strategies are implemented to achieve clinical quality and patient services experience measures
  • Follow through on key goals and performance measures (KPI) that advance organizational strategy and business plan
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and drive change initiatives to completion to improve overall operations and financial outcomes

Required Qualifications:



  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of medical office management or supervisory experience


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience with EPIC EMR
  • Experience with medical terminology, coding, and billing
  • Demonstrated business and financial skills
  • Bilingual (Spanish)


New York Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $58,300 to $114,300 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
