The Heme Malignancy and Bone Marrow Transplant Unit (Weinberg 5D) is a 15-bed oncology unit. Registered Nurses (RNs) on this unit will care for patients with hematological malignancies who are receiving bone marrow transplants. Our hematologic malignancy and hematology patients have access to some of the most innovative and advanced therapies in the world. Because Kimmel Cancer Center research scientists and clinicians closely work together, new drugs and treatments developed in the research laboratory are quickly transferred to the clinical setting, offering patients improved therapeutic options and the chance to participate in innovative clinical trials. The Lead Clinical Nurse provides guidance and direction to staff and acts in the absence of the Assistant Nurse Manager/Nurse Manager to oversee a clinical team during care delivery and unit operations.

Qualifications:




  • BSN/MSN from an accredited nursing program required.
  • Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required
  • BLS CPR certification required
  • Must have at least 3 years of acute care RN work experience in oncology
  • Ability to lead others, assist in development & implementation of procedures for the unit, use principles of conflict resolution, recommend resource utilization, and implement performance management of staff.

Salary Range: Minimum 43.93 per hour - Maximum 68.09 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
