What is the opportunity?

Join BlueBay's US Fixed Income capabilities as a Loan Closer/Senior Loan Closer. As part of an integrated global fixed income team, our US Fixed Income presence enables us to access the breadth of investment opportunities available in US fixed income markets to deliver domestic as well as global portfolio solutions to clients.

What will you do?

  • Ensuring loan trades are accurately captured in ClearPar and Wall Street Office.
  • Review and sign loan trade documentation and ensuring that loan trades are closed in a timely manner.
  • Engaging External legal counsel, KYC and Tax teams where necessary to fulfil requirements for trade closures.
  • Actively resolving any position issues raised by the desk or Finance and investigating as necessary to identify the root cause.
  • Monitor Corporate Actions for any events on loan positions held and action consent process accordingly.
  • Understanding of the Loan Servicing role and be able to process servicing activity such as rollovers, paydowns, drawdowns, fees where required.
  • Contributing towards weekly updates for senior management.
  • Engaging internal teams to ensure trade flow connectivity is maintained for STP and that new initiatives are agreed, tested, and implemented.
  • Identifying new control points and demonstrate awareness of potential operational risk.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Understand LMA and LSTA trade rules
  • 5-10 years' of asset management and syndicated loan expertise.
  • Clearpar/Markit experience
  • Understanding of the lifecycle of a CLO and the processes during each phase of the lifecycle.
  • Ability to independently liaise with the desk and other internal teams to complete BAU.
  • Corporate Actions knowledge with the understanding of restructures and waivers and how this effects settled and unsettled positions

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge and understanding of the WSO system
  • Distressed Trading exposure

The good-faith expected salary range for the above position is $80,000 - $135,000 depending on factors including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, registration status; market conditions; and business needs.This salary range does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
