ABOUT THE JOB

The IT Infrastructure and Security Intern will work under the direction of the Infrastructure and Security Manager. This intern will assist the team with projects over the summer that will be challenging and educational as well as valuable projects for Hawkins. They will get to shadow both our network and security engineers to give them a broad view of the industry. We are looking for a paid Summer 2025 intern for a 10-12 week session.

Job Responsibilities:



  • Perform move/add/change requests in Active Directory, Exchange Online and Teams
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures
  • Assist in new user equipment setups
  • Image and test new machines
  • Help troubleshoot and perform Windows version upgrades
  • Triage tickets from end users by gathering information before escalating the issue if necessary
  • Assist in other special projects as needed



ABOUT YOU





    • Work or educational experience that demonstrates technology aptitude
    • Some college or high school level networking or security coursework
    • Basic PC troubleshooting skills
    • Knowledge of common PC hardware and software including Microsoft Office 365
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks
    • Effective communication skills

Ability to lift 40lbs.
