The Billing Supervisor assists the Business Office Manager in managing, directing, coordinating and monitoring the overall functions of the Billing and Surgery Departments within ENTA Care, a practice pod of Johns Hopkins Regional Physicians LLC.

Shift: Full Time, Monday-Friday.

Qualifications:




  • Minimum of a high school diploma. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of medical business office expereince, two (2) years in a department lead position in billing, accounting, or information systems.
  • Cerfified Professional Coding Certificate



Duties include but are not limited to:




  • Assists the Business Office Manager in planning, directing, and supervising registration, patient insurance, billing, data processing, coding, and collections to ensure accurate and timely patient billing and efficient account collections.
  • Implements new coding policies and procedures. Distributes coding information to providers and staff.
  • Monitors surgical billing practices to ensure that the surgical claims are coded properly and that claims are paid correctly
  • Handles patient complaints in a timely, professional manner. Investigates complaints.
  • Supervises assigned personnel. Assists in training, orientation, and performance evaluation. Recommends merit increases, promotions, and disciplinary actions.

Salary Range: Minimum $32.00 per hour - Maximum $38.00 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
