GENERAL FUNCTION
The National Key Account Manager role is to win new regional key accounts (RKA) to Walman Optical and ADO Practice Solution services. Prospecting, qualifying, engaging and winning new business within multi-location, $650K+ / year lab customers is priority. 50%+ year-over-year growth in the overall book of business is expected. This position is responsible for maintaining strong, fluid relationships within all assigned key accounts ensuring ongoing year-over-year growth. This is best accomplished by leveraging ancillary in-group company products, services, and value props through in-depth business reviews and plans thereby identifying opportunities for growth while effectively utilizing all existing and potential lines of business and service.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create, manage and strengthen senior level relationships with assigned Walman Optical strategic accounts and strategic account prospects.
- Negotiate and close industry leading ophthalmic service programs and contracts with strategic account opportunities.
- Create and optimize strategic customer relationships that have growth potential through the development of a one to three-year plan; guide team selling and customer collaboration efforts.
- Develop stronger and wider relationships within key accounts, increase account retention and long-term stability and overall revenue growth.
- Act as liaison and point of contact for senior executives with key accounts for all sales, customer service, and technical support issues.
- Exhibit complete knowledge and expertise of all optical product lines within the portfolio.
- Conduct in-depth business reviews and plans with assigned accounts. Identify all opportunities for growth while effectively using all products lines.
- Identify & communicate strategic opportunities; work with internal team to devise growth strategy.
- Conducts meetings, presentations, and seminars with strategic accounts and institutions.
- Completes profit analysis for each assigned account.
- Participates in strategic planning sessions.
- As necessary hire and train staff to fully leverage strategic relationships.
- Attend all company functions deemed necessary by senior level with managers/officers such as industry trade shows and related meetings.
- Travel required respective to on-site visits in accordance with assigned duties and responsibilities.
- Effectively communicates with all levels of the organization to assure understanding
- Provides proper training, work direction, and technical guidance for peers. Attend in-house or Walman sponsored training meetings when necessary.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- 8+ years in sales of a complex nature and sales supervisory experience.
- Possess ophthalmic practice management expertise, experience, or consulting experience.
- Strong organizational interpersonal management and communication skills.
- Effective computer skills with a PC background.
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
