Institutional Giving & Stewardship Coordinator

Over the last 20 years, the Peabody Essex Museum (PEM) has distinguished itself as one of the fastest-growing art museums in North America. Founded in 1799, it is also the country's oldest continuously operating museum. Under supervision of the Director of Institutional Giving & Stewardship, the Institutional Giving & Stewardship Coordinator will serve as the primary support for the museum's Institutional Giving & Stewardship team, as well as the Development office as needed.

The coordinator will assist the Director of Institutional Giving & Stewardship with pre and post-award grant and sponsorship activities, create sponsorship decks, manage the acknowledgement and stewardship process, and maintain data integrity in Tessitura for all Institutional Giving and Stewardship Programs. The coordinator will also provide support for the monthly renewal process for the Corporate Member program by assisting with the fulfillment of corporate memberships and extracting lists for corporate solicitations while providing support for all stewardship activities, helping to implement a wide range of activities connected to stewardship communications. Additional responsibilities can include preparing acknowledgement for all institutional donors and provide editing assistance as needed for acknowledgement in other Development areas, assembling supplemental materials for funding proposals, developing content for the corporate program's monthly e-newsletter and the corporate section of PEM's website, as well as assisting in preparation of reports for donors to endowed and restricted funds on the use and disposition of gifts.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience with a minimum of one to three years of nonprofit fundraising preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong organization and time management skills. Ability to provide quality donor services, including written, verbal, and personal interactions. Proficiency in fundraising software preferred, particularly Tessitura, a passion for the arts, and a high degree of patience and attention to detail. Occasional evening and/or weekend work required during special events. This position is a full time hourly role with the hourly range being $20.50 to $22.30 commensurate with experience.
