WHAT YOU'LL DO:

The below statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job. They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified. May perform other duties as assigned.

  • Project Planning and Coordination: As the Associate ePMO Specialist you will work with cross functional teams across Smithfield to define project requirements, scopes, and objectives that align with organizational goals. You will be responsible for administration of the core ePMO tools, Idea Tracker and Project Tracker. Additionally, you will own project records submitted to the ePMO and providing your approval for their work products. Your coordination of internal and external resources will ensure that projects remain within scope, schedule, and budget will be primary focus. In this role you will analyze project progress and, when necessary, adapt scope or timeline to achieve optimal results. Ensuring that all aspects of a project are organized and in conformance with timeline and deliverables will be your focus. You can plan to work with Project Managers in assigning and monitoring resources within MS Project Online to effectively boost project efficiency and maximize deliverables output. As the Associate ePMO Specialist you will partner with the Project Managers in documenting project risks and outcomes to appropriate management channels and escalate issues according to project work plan.

  • Documentation and Tools Support: As part of the Project Management team, you will assist in the review or construction of records within Idea and Project Tracker tools. Your innovation in developing and managing templates will be used by project managers as part of their projects. You can plan to partner with others in the department to develop other training materials and job aids in support of ePMO tools as well as provide tool administration support to ePMO leadership and project practitioners.

WHAT WE'RE SEEKING:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.

  • Company will consider a currently enrolled college student with an anticipated graduation by end of current school year as qualified.

  • Experience in coordinating teams and tracking project deliverables

  • Comfortable in a corporate setting, working with all levels of management

OTHER SKILLS THAT MAKE YOU STAND OUT:

  • Professional certification such as CAPM, Six Sigma Yellow Belt or ITIL Foundations

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
