Position Responsibilities

Deltek is looking for a high-energy and driven person to join its Security Team in advancing the security of our products and the growing Cloud environments. You'll work closely with Deltek's teams using a risk-based approach to implement security at scale. This go-to role has responsibility for security applications, processes, and configurations that directly impact the security posture of Deltek's SaaS products including within AWS and other Cloud environments.

You'll bring your security experience to weave security throughout our applications as well as the cloud infrastructure running in Deltek's Customer SaaS environment. The successful candidate will be curious, creative, and tenacious; and views challenges as a means to grow professionally in the cloud security space.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure security for products and environments
  • Operating vulnerability management processes, suggesting applicable change controls, and security exceptions.
  • Operate security tools
  • Manage and monitor vulnerability findings and remediation plans
  • Collaborate with Deltek Cloud Teams on the implementation of Cloud (AWS and Azure) security configurations and tools
  • Collaborate with Deltek Cloud Teams on the implementation of network security configurations and tools in the cloud
  • Oversee and report and AWS instance and component security configuration drift, root cause analysis and recommend improvements
  • Oversee and manage internal customer requests for security review
  • Support Security Solutions in the cloud, from proof of concept to operational tool
  • Performing risk-based technical assessments on technical vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and research security solutions to monitor and manage infrastructure and product security
  • Maintaining and updating process guides and assisting with reporting

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related or equivalent experience
  • At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience with vulnerability management
  • At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience with AWS or Azure, or other cloud security
  • Strong knowledge of risk models, vulnerability scoring, CVSS, CIS
  • Experience with vulnerability management processes, tools, and technologies
  • Working knowledge of AWS, Azure Security Center, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Security Groups, Lambda
  • 3+ years' experience in supporting products securely in a large-scale, high-availability cloud environment
  • Strong knowledge of operational security tactics and best practices
  • Experience with supporting security technologies in FedRAMP or other regulated environments
  • Experience with SaaS-delivered products, applications, and services to customers
  • Experience with security automation
Technical Knowledge & Skills:
  • SSCP, GIAC or other security related certifications desired
  • Direct Experience with vulnerability scanning tools
  • Knowledge of cloud technologies
  • Knowledge of scripting language
  • Credibility and high professionalism
  • Knowledge of Firewalls, Security Groups, Key management, and integrity monitoring
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Amazing customer service skills, can-do attitude
  • Ability to perform work after normal business hours
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills; collaborative, innovative, and curious
  • Attention to detail and follow through on tasks.
The position will work closely with Deltek staff in the Philippines, US, and EU.

Compensation Information

The U.S. salary range for this position is $81500.00 - $142750.00. This range is subject to change as Deltek takes a number of factors into consideration when determining individual base pay, such as location, job-related knowledge, skills and experience. Certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including incentive compensation and equity.
