The center's current scope of work includes behavioral health, child health & well-being, health & health care financing, health in all policies, health systems transformation, long-term services & support, population & global health, and rural health. JOB DESCRIPTION
The position is a member of the administrative services team within the Georgia Health Policy Center. The administrative assistant is responsible for supporting front desk functions and provides administrative support to various projects and teams including human resources (HR). This position reports directly to the assistant director of administrative services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The scope of responsibility will include these specific areas and duties but is not limited to the following:

HPC Front Desk Support



  • Assist the GHPC front desk administrative coordinator with daily activities to support the management of daily administrative activities, including:
  • Greet guests and provide general information to staff, stakeholders and the public.
  • Answer main office line and make direct phone calls to the appropriate team members.
  • Assist with receiving, sorting, and distributing mail and packages.
  • Provide general support.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of special events.


Human Resources Support



  • Assist the administrative services team and HR coordinator with human resource functions, including:
  • Pull and save applicant files from Taleo.
  • Direct communication with search committees and applicants.
  • Coordinate and schedule virtual and in-person interviews.
  • Maintain departmental HR email accounts and respond to inquiries.
  • Maintain and coordinate the collection of personnel documents and records.
  • Assist with updating reports and paperwork.
  • Assist with distribution and maintenance of technology and equipment for new hires.
  • Work collaboratively with the administrative services team and student assistants.


ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES



  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage, prioritize, and coordinate multiple tasks.
  • Computer proficiency, including the ability to use Microsoft Office.
  • Organizational skills
  • Event planning and coordination experience.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree, or a high school diploma or GED and four years administrative experience; or a combination of education and experience. Various computer skills may be required.


Preferred Hiring Qualifications:



  • The candidate is expected to have experience in an academic environment, event coordination, and/or experience providing administrative support.
