Description of primary duties and responsibilities:
Primary Purpose of the Organizational Unit:
The Office of the Registrar exists to serve students, faculty, and administrators. Its primary functions are to maintain student records on each student each semester, oversee the processes of class scheduling and registration, re-enrollment; maintain the integrity and security of student academic records; protect the privacy of the students based on FERPA regulation, ensure the integrity of grade assignments, GPA calculations, transcript accuracy and print, an enrollment and ensure the adherence to university policies in all issues related to student academic records; certify student enrollment; provide faculty, administrators, and Office of the President reports and statistical data reflecting student grades and enrollment; advise the faculty and administration about academic and curriculum revisions as needed.

Primary Purpose of the Position:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as one of two contacts for transcript evaluations, military transfer credit input (sent by the UNCSO), the graduation processes (undergraduate and graduate), and Degree Works processes. This position assists the office in ensuring continued customer service to our students, faculty, staff, alumni, and potential Broncos. This employee will serve as a point of contact between the department chairs, academic advisors, North Carolina Community Colleges, and other colleges and universities for requests for assistance with equivalencies. The employee will serve as a contact in maintaining the Transfer Articulation Agreements with the North Carolina Community Colleges. The employee will serve as the admissions liaison, ensuring transcripts receipted from the Office of Admissions are documented and scanned into Xtender.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends if necessary.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written form.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other offices.
  • Ability to assess and find solutions to complicated technical issues.
  • Ability to multi-task, follow through on assigned projects, and work in a fast-paced environment and as a team member.
  • Must have interpersonal skills to work with a diverse staff and student body.

Preferred Qualifications:
Four-year baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution in computer science or related field with at least six months experience in an administrative office at an institution of higher learning. Knowledge of Student Banner systems, data entry skills, demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft products to include Word and Excel.
