About Us

North Shore Physicians Group (NSPG), the largest multi-specialty physicians group north of Boston, is a leader in innovative practices. We are explorers at heart! Here, ideas come from everyone-to the benefit of everyone we serve.

We continually seek the best ways to streamline care for both patients and providers. Our medical team of more than 400 physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other care professionals is consistently working together to discover new ways to improve and enhance our practices to benefit the health of our patients and the careers of our providers.

With NSPG as your employer, you'll experience clinical excellence, supportive practice environments, and opportunities for career advancement! Through our team-based approach, the goal is to make our practice of medicine smarter and more efficient.

The Vision

We are seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support an Advanced Practitioner who will be joining our Primary Care practice in Rowley, MA! This is a 40-hour, onsite position with a desired schedule of Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:000pm. Please note, Medical Assistant shifts are staggered and can vary depending on provider schedules and site needs. The Advanced Practice Provider will be supporting our same-day sick visits, with the option of building a panel in the future. Because patients typically come to us for this offering when they aren't feeling their best, it is incredibly important to us that our staff members strive to provide the compassion and emotional support our patients need.

As a Family Medicine office, we provide physical examinations, routine health screenings and preventative care for patients of all ages - infants through adults. While we ideally aim to have our clinical support staff members working 1:1 with their assigned Provider, they do cross-cover, rotate, and collaborate with various providers to develop their skills, expose them to different styles, and expand their clinical knowledge.

Role Overview

Dedicated to clinical support as true partners to our providers, our Medical Assistants are trained to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the multidisciplinary care team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office
  • Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, point of care testing, immunizations, procedures, and treatments as directed)
  • Performing clinically appropriate tasks related to panel management (general patient guidance, test results, prescription refills, coordination of care, etc.)
  • Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas
  • Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs
