Add to favorites Favorited View favorites Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $48,600 - Midpoint: $60,800 (Salaried E7) Department/Organization: 214241 - Computer Science Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm Job Summary: The Postdoctoral Fellow provides for an internship and continuation of scholarly activity and research after achieving the PhD or other doctoral degree under the direction of a senior faculty member who serves as a mentor for the postdoctoral appointee. Additional Department Summary: The Alabama Center for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence at The University of Alabama is seeking Postdoctoral Fellow position for research under the supervision of Dr. Jiaqi Gong. This position is funded by the National Science Foundation and NOAA. The successful candidate will have a one-year appointment (with the potential to be extended) with the Department of Computer Science and the Alabama Center for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence at the University of Alabama. Required Minimum Qualifications: Doctorate. Additional qualifications based on assignment. Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in Computer Science or other related areas. Skills and Knowledge: Strong programming/scripting capabilities. Skills in data science and high-performance computing. Strong written and verbal communication of research results skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with generative AI deep learning, and active involvement in data science and machine learning projects. Experience in neural networks architecture, cloud computing, and database development and management. Background in computational modeling and machine learning.
