Business Analyst

Location: Remote, USA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $70,000 - $90,000 (Range applies to US candidates only) + Benefits/Variable Comp/Equity - Range may vary based on experience.

Summary

OneStream is looking for product champions to enthusiastically drive innovation that keeps pace with our industry-leading growth and achieves 100% customer success. As a OneStream Business Analyst, you will utilize your OneStream product knowledge and Corporate Performance Management (CPM) domain experience to prepare and organize high quality User Stories that provide a consistent stream of work for our Sprinting teams. You will partner with Product Managers to execute product strategy and ensure stakeholder requests are comprehensively represented in requirements for software engineers and acceptance tests for quality assurance engineers. We are looking for experienced Business Analysts interested in a career in Product Management and ready to take the next step to join our high-performing product team.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities



  • Interview stakeholders to understand user requirements.
  • Document, analyze and prioritize business and user requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into clear, accurate and concise functional requirements.
  • Perform user acceptance testing and control policies.
  • Work with scrum team to refine user stories.
  • Regularly engage in agile activities including sprint planning and backlog grooming.
  • Provides input regarding optimal solutions to meet business needs, manage project deliverables, and meet delivery commitments.
  • Continuous hands-on learning of OneStream's comprehensive, unified CPM platform as you strive to become a product expert.
  • Maintain close relationships with Business Partners, Customers, and Customer-facing OneStreamers so that you can align customer use cases to stakeholder product requirements.
  • Maniacal focus on quality to meet our 100% customer reference goal.



Required Education and Experience



  • BA/BS Degree in Information Technology, Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience, preferably with exposure to software development.
  • 1-3 years of experience in software development life cycle (SDLC) activities such as analysis, requirements gathering, system design, testing and implementation.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong listening, verbal, public speaking, and written communication skills.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.




    Preferred Education and Experience



      • Experience using Jira, Confluence, Office 365, and Microsoft Visio.
      • Familiar with Visio, Draw.io, Lucidchart or any other flow chart software.
      • Familiarity with accounting terms and systems.



      Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



      • Ability to show empathy for customer concerns.
      • Ability to follow established processes.
      • Ability to understand how various parts of the business interact; can identify and approach problems from a customer perspective.
      • Foundational understanding of SDLC.
      • Building on organizational skills and domain knowledge.
      • The ability to ask for guidance and expectation is that they may need mentoring/leadership.
      • Ability to break down high level information into detailed user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria.
      • Ability to think critically and problem solve complex issues for data sets.
      • Ability to execute in a fast-paced startup environment.
      • Ability to execute well defined tasks in a timely manner.
