IT Analyst Intern - Boerne, TX

Our Global Information Services (GIS) team is looking for an IT Analyst Intern to join a fast paced international company with over 100 years of history.

The AEC intern program is designed to provide firsthand working knowledge of IT and GIS activities at AEC. The candidate will develop valuable problem solving skills while assisting with the support of existing programs as well as the development of new products and processes.

This internship position is being offered for the summer of 2025 - to begin in May '25 and end in August '25, with flexibility based on semester start/end dates.

We are looking for an intern in the following area:

• IT Operations

This Intern will have the opportunity to work on and be responsible for:

• Assisting with provision of end-user services, including help desk and technical support services.
• Assisting with project implementations.
• Working with IT budgeting and planning process.
• Creating knowledge documents like Process Documentation, Setup/Install Procedures, etc.

Required Skills

• Enthusiastic and eager to learn
• Excellent communication skills
• Good knowledge of the MS Windows 10 Operating System
• General knowledge of IT including the software development lifecycle, networking
• Organized with an attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Team player, reliable, positive, pleasant attitude a must
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office applications and web based solutions

Required Experience and Education

• Completed at least two years toward a degree in Computer Information Systems or related field
• 3.0 Minimum GPA preferred
• Hands on experience installing IT hardware and software

Safety and Procedures of the Intern position

• Follow all publicized safety policies/procedures applicable to the job
• Attend and participate in all safety training, safety meetings, audits and Behavior Based Safety programs assigned
• Report all safety hazards observed. If capable, correct the safety hazard identified

Physical Demands of the Intern position

While performing the responsibilities of the GIS Intern's job, the employee must be able to see, speak, and hear. The employee is often required to sit and use their hands and fingers, to handle or feel and to manipulate keys on a keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Work Environment for the Intern position

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
