Description

Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the North Central Director of Behavioral Health the Outpatient Services Lead Manager provides administrative and Evidenced Based Practice (EBP) focused supervision to clinical supervisors and staff and participates in administrative activities to support program and service delivery.

In collaboration with the North Central Director of Behavioral Health, they will oversee and ensure that all outpatient behavioral health services provided, are in line with the mission, vision and strategic goals of Catholic Charities.

The Outpatient Services Lead Manager in collaboration with the Clinical Utilization Manager works to ensure that high qualify services are provided and participates in tasks focused on continued quality improvement for the outpatient behavioral health programs in North Central region. The Lead Outpatient Services Manager will also work in conjunction with other managers and Directors throughout the Catholic Charities Network to ensure consistency in development and delivery of services and adherence to policy and procedure.

This position directly supervises the clinical supervisors and service delivery of outpatient therapists, case managers, and New Journeys.


Responsibilities:

Outpatient Program oversight



  • Participates as a member of Catholic Charities Clinical Team
  • Ensures that outpatient programs and staff meet all regulatory and statutory requirements per the WAC
  • Oversees caseloads to ensure proper level of care assignment and that case management services are provided as indicated
  • Ensure that outpatient service providers maintain 60% productivity
  • Encourages and coaches staff in a manner consistent with the mission and vision of Catholic Charities
  • Facilitates and attends clinical meetings
  • Assists with the development and implementation of staff training consistent with the expectations and services provided in the outpatient programs
  • Assists with audit preparation or corrective action implementation as needed


Hiring



  • Assist in the hiring of outpatient behavioral health programs staff, coordinates appropriately with the North Central Director and Human Resources department to initiate hiring process, as indicated
  • Helps with recruitment and selection of clinical staff and supervisor/leads


Clinical Supervision



  • Provides EBP clinical (and administrative) supervision to assigned outpatient supervisors and clinical staff at a frequency outlined by Behavioral Health Policies and Procedures
  • Conducts 6 month and annual performance evaluation for supervisees of Outpatient Behavioral Health program
  • Provides Clinical Supervision that is structured the requirements for staff seeking out Licensure
  • Provides clinical supervisory back-up for Outpatient services
  • Ensures staff performance meets agency productivity and documentation required
  • Develops and implements corrective action plans with staff to address performance issues, as indicated
  • Assigns, supervises and monitors clinical activities of assigned supervisees through individual and group supervision, review of clinical records, sitting in on sessions as applicable


Quality Assurance



  • Implements and maintains fidelity to evidence-based clinical practices and programs
  • Participates in Quality Improvement activities with the Clinical Utilization Manager as required for all clinical supervisors

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

The following requirements are those that are normally required for performance of this position. Physical Requirements:

This position normally requires the physical demands of standing, walking, bending, lifting or performing other work requiring low physical exertion, talking and hearing on a regular basis to perform the job requirements. These physical demands are required up to 80% of the time. Position also requires ability to drive with adequate vision and skill.

Non-Physical Requirements:

Education



  • A minimum of a Masters' Degree in Social Work, Counseling or related Behavioral Sciences


Experience



  • 3+ years' of experience in Clinical Supervision
  • At least 2 years' of experience in Clinical Mental Health setting
  • Fully trained and recognized as a supervisor of Evidence Based Practices utilized by the agency (within one-year from date of hire)


Special Skills



  • Possess and utilize effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be self-motivated, work independently and as a team member
  • Ability to represent the agency in a professional manner within the community
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required


Licensure, Registration, Certification



  • Valid Washington State driver's license and required minimum liability for WA State
  • Must be deemed insurable as determined by Catholic Charities liability provider
  • Licensed as LMHC, LICSW, or LMFT
  • Obtain, eligible, or meets eligibility requirements for Approved Clinical Supervisor in the State of Washington
