Summary of Job Duties:The Institute of Community Health Innovation (IHCI) is actively seeking an accomplished and visionary Senior Research Program Director to spearhead the statewide expansion of our Maternal Child Health (MCH) programs. In this critical role, you will be responsible for guiding the strategic development, execution, and oversight of various initiatives designed to enhance maternal and child health outcomes across the state.

As the Senior Research Program Director, you will collaborate extensively with both internal teams and external partners to ensure the seamless and effective delivery of our MCH programs. Your core duties will include aligning these initiatives with IHCI's strategic objectives and overarching mission, thereby maximizing their impact on public health.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Nursing, or a related field.
  • Eight (8) years of experience in program management, including supervisory experience.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proven track record of overseeing large-scale health programs and managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local grant requirements, with experience in grant reporting and compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives effectively.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and inspire a high-performing team.
  • Deep understanding of maternal and child health, including evidence-based practices and emerging trends.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, including healthcare providers, policymakers, and community organizations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Passion for community health and a commitment to making a positive impact in underserved communities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Medicaid billing processes is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
Program Oversight:

  • Lead and manage the statewide expansion of MCH programs, ensuring quality and consistency across all initiatives.
  • Supervise a team of approximately 40 members, including 5 direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Collaborative Leadership:

  • Work closely with the Research Director, Evaluation Director, and other programmatic directors to facilitate seamless collaboration on strategic initiatives.
  • Develop and implement a unified approach to program development, evaluation, and research activities.

Grant Management:

  • Oversee the management of federal, state, and local grants, ensuring compliance with all funding requirements and regulations.
  • Collaborate with financial and administrative teams to ensure effective budgeting and reporting.

Program Implementation:

  • Drive strong programmatic implementation through effective project management and strategic planning.
  • Monitor program performance and outcomes, utilizing data to inform continuous improvement.

Communication and Vision:

  • Clearly articulate the strategic vision of the Institute of Community Health Innovation to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at conferences, community meetings, and other events, advocating for maternal and child health initiatives.

Team Development:

  • Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and accountability within the team.

Medicaid Billing Expertise:

  • Utilize experience with Medicaid billing to optimize program funding and reimbursement strategies.
  • Stay informed about changes in Medicaid policies that may impact program operations.
