Prepares rooms and equipment for procedures and cleans and reprocesses a variety of endoscopes and accessories. Maintains and stocks instruments and supplies. II. Major Responsibilities:
Position Qualifications: License/Certification/Education: Required: Equivalent to high school plus additional specialized training. Preferred: SGNA certification preferred. Experience/Skills: Required: Minimum of two years of relevant experience required. Knowledge of patient care, endoscopy procedures and basic GI anatomy. Advanced knowledge of endoscopic procedures. Must be flexible with scheduling needs. Must be able to work independently and work well in teams. Ability to exercise good judgment, discretion and communication skills. Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Preferred: Surgical Instrument technician or Central Sterile Technician experience is preferred.
