Job Overview

The Enterprise Agile Coach guides and mentors the Macy's organization as it transitions to a product operating model using an agile delivery methodology. They serve as the subject matter experts on organizational design, change management, agile/lean principles & methodologies, and best practices, to help drive a smooth transition into the Agile/Product mindset across the enterprise.

This position plays a critical role within the company, partnering with executives, senior leaders, and business stakeholders throughout the organization to advise and ensure effective delivery of value based upon defined agile value & principles. They utilize organizational and industry best practices and provide hands-on guidance to help improve processes, create high-performing teams and systems, and evolving Macy's Ways of Working.

What You Will Do



  • Build deep and impactful relationships with Technology, Product, and Business Stakeholder leadership to influence change and partner on the transformation journey.
  • Establish and collaboratively implement scalable systems using agile/lean principles, values, behaviors, & methodologies.
  • Build alignment amongst executives and teams for an end-state vision, and generate excitement and passion to deliver on that vision together.
  • Leverage metrics to provide insights and recommendations to support leadership decisioning.
  • Monitor and measure success of Macy's transition to a product operating model.
  • Cultivate an environment of trust and positivity.
  • Foster a continuous learning and improvement culture.
  • Scale the ways we can reach, coach, and empower everyone within the organization with the skills necessary to effectively deliver value.
  • Teach and mentor the organization, assist with problem solving, and serve as a Subject Matter Expert for Macy's Ways of Working.



Skills You Will Need



  • 8+ years of experience leading and implementing large, scaled transformations. Demonstrated consultant and facilitator leading large organizations in the transformation, adoption and improvement of Agile methodologies.
  • Experience advising executives and senior leaders, with the skills and ability to lead by example, and lead through influence.
  • Excellent communicator with executive presence, including the ability to succinctly communicate vision and strategy.
  • Courageous communicator, storyteller, able to tailor the message to the right level up and down the organizational chart.
  • Extensive Knowledge and experience in Agile at scale, principles and practices, and the ability to transfer that understanding into practical and relevant behaviors, culture, practices, at all levels of the organization.
  • Extensive negotiation, diplomacy and conflict resolution skills Organizer with strong attention-to-detail, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Exceptional problem solving skills; able to anticipate technical and transformational barriers and adjust approach based on research and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret complex technical documents.
  • A detailed understanding of the business. Retail background a plus.
