Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit |
This position is assigned to the Logistics and Data Management (
LDM) Operations unit of the Academic Affairs Operations core service team within the College of Health and Human Services (
CHHS). Reporting to the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs of
CHHS through the Coordinator for Logistics and Data Management Operations, the
LDM Operations service team is a core service unit providing comprehensive support for academic affairs operations to faculty, staff, and administrators across the
CHHS. Three schools comprise the
CHHS including the Schools of Nursing, Social Work, and Health and Applied Human Sciences. The
LDM Operations Team ensures that
CHHS faculty, staff, and administrators have access to a wide range of common support related to logistics and data management. |

Brief Summary of Work for this Position |
The
LDM Operations Specialist assumes primary responsibility for policy compliance, process and procedure implementation, and data collection around academic affairs operations inclusive of, and not limited to:
- Curriculum approval
- Academic course schedule entry
- Online accelerated program (OAP) workflow
- Persistence to an academic degree
- Other academic processes, procedures, and data management are critical for ensuring academic program and student success
Responsibilities include a high level of understanding and knowledge of the university, college, school, and program-level policies, procedures, documents, and manuals as they relate to academic affairs and student support.
This position may collaborate with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and administrators within the schools to maintain an academic affairs operations calendar, ensure timely and compliant completion of various academic affairs processes, develop and maintain an academic affairs policy and procedure manual, and generate academic affairs reports as needed. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Preferred education, professional skills and experience |
- Experience in a College environment within a University.
- Experience executing academic affairs related policies and procedures.
- Experience navigating information system databases and utilizing database functionality to research data and perform queries.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize work tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, organize and adjust workload to handle multiple responsibilities.
- Strong initiative and ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment, tact and discretion in dealing with a wide variety of administrators, faculty, staff and with student data.
