Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a AP Manager, overseeing and executing the billing process for Astrion's clients.

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our team at a US Government Contractor. The Accounts Payable Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the billing process, including the preparation and submission of invoices to government agencies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Costpoint as an ERP system.

  • Manages professionals or significant Accounts Payable processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS

  • Minimum bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 6+ Years of Experience in Accounts Payable
  • Significant experience managing complex Accounts Payable - particularly with Department of Defense Contractors
  • Experience with Costpoint
  • Leadership and Management Experience

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee and support accounts payable process and team members who process accounts payable, including the appropriate structure, policies, processes, and individual responsibilities to successfully achieve the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Manage and oversee the billing process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with government regulations and contract requirements
  • Collaborate with project managers and finance team to ensure accurate and timely billing
  • Process all aspects of accounts payable, including credit card, non-PO and PO Invoices.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and unbilled accounts receivable
  • Manage incoming vendor invoices
  • Manage vendor pay inquiries timely
  • Manage Travel and Travel Agent
  • Communicate with Travelers
  • Provide support and guidance to AP team members or others who process AP, including training and mentoring
  • Evaluate and recommend changes to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Communicate updates for accounts payable
