Job Summary:

The Shipping Supervisor will lead the department in setting and achieving objectives and long-term goals while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures. This role involves fostering collaboration with other departments to support overall organizational success. A key responsibility is to maintain a safe working environment by promoting a strong safety culture and proactively identifying and addressing any unsafe conditions. The supervisor will also embody and promote the Hydro Core Values in all aspects of their work.

Required Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 1-3 years of successful manufacturing experience.
  • At least one year of supervisory experience managing 10 or more employees.
  • Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced business environment.
  • Proven capability to operate effectively in a dynamic organization.
  • Skilled at challenging and collaborating with various departments.
  • Proficient in analyzing situations and developing effective solutions.
  • Fluency in English- written and verbal.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Previous experience in the aluminum industry is a plus.
  • Experience in fostering employee involvement within multi-discipline teams is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with all organizational levels and a diverse customer base.
  • Oversee the Shipping team to ensure they prioritize tasks correctly while maintaining safety and quality standards.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Shipping team that achieves set objectives and consistently delivers best practices, added value, and continuous improvement.
  • Minimal travel required.
